Description
This CD set summarizes the glorious career of a unique individual that began in the mid 1970’s and continues to this day, at age 70. This box set honors that achievement. The box set is of great value, even to those who know his recordings in detail. It includes a large selection of works that are being released for the first time from Wolfgang’s vast collection of live performances and studio recordings. It contains many types of ensembles and many wonderful artists with whom he collaborated with along the way. It is arranged in a very interesting way (partly chronological and partly around musical themes). The majority of the recordings consist of Wolfgang’s original compositions, including pieces that he composed for theater and ballet, with the exception of a few cases where he reworks jazz standards or from the field of classical music. His abilities as a vocal composer is also on display. Dot Time Records is proud and honored to release this portrait of a virtuoso musician, composer and arranger and most importantly, an exceptional human being! CD 1. First Years – From 1976-1990 CD 2.
