Description

The first inspiration for Portrait in Evans came after Noa and Paul played a gig together for the first time in London a few years back. There was a long time between the soundcheck and the performance, and backstage they started chatting and soon realised they were both massive fans of the great Bill Evans. Bill’s deeply emotional and expressive music was the ultimate inspiration and a desire to bring his incredible work to new audiences, and to reframe it for those who are already loyal fans. Every song has a connection to his deeply eventful, and often tragic life story. 

Initially Noa and Paul got some arrangements together and played some of them live, and they were blown away by the response from audiences. Soon a plan formed and they recorded the album in London in the Summer of 2024. Dot Time Records were really keen to put out the album after hearing the mixes. The complete album will be released on March 20th, 2026, with single releases in the months leading up to it. Noa and Paul are touring Europe with the project in the coming months, including dates in Germany, Switzerland, Spain and the UK.

The official European album launch will be at Pizza Express Soho in London on 30th April, 2026.
