Arik Strauss will perform a concert at “Schwartz’sche Villa” in Berlin-Steglitz on Fri, March 24, where he will perform music from his latest release “In Spite Of All‘.
Between 2002 and 2012 Arik recorded 4 CDs, the last of which, Mostly Ballads, was released by Dot Time Records in 2012. Production of the CD was made possible through the support of ACUM’s social and promotion fund. In 2015 Adieu Tristesse, a new solo piano recording of Strauss’s original music was released for digital downloads and will be released as a vinyl album in the near future, both also through the support of ACUM’s social and promotion fund.
In Spite of All, a new trio album, was released by the same label in September 2016. Strauss’s very recent in-the-process project is a recording of poems he composed and arranged for two voices and piano to the Hebrew lyrics of his grandfather, Arie Ludwig Strauss, Lea Goldberg and his wife, Sigal Adler-Strauss, who is also singing with him.
In June 2016 Strauss relocated to Berlin and performs regularly with his new trio featuring Andrea Marcelli on drums and Robin Draganic on bass.
