The T.K. Blue Group

T.K. Blue has performed extensively in the Baltimore/Washington DC area since the 1990’s. He organized a quartet with Eric Kennedy on drums, Jeff Reed on bass, and Warren Wolf on piano and vibes. The band and the music felt incredible and Blue decided to record his next project with this ensemble.  An additional concert was performed followed by a live DVD recording for Jazz Encounters.  Then in May 2016 they went into Blue House Recording Studios to record T.K.’s 11th CD as a leader called Amour on Dot Time Records.

Each musician of this group brings a tremendous amount of experience and expertise to the bandstand. In addition the warm friendship and spiritual bond they formed excelled the music to new heights and uncharted territory.

Preparations are being made for future performances with this group. Also on Amour is the extraordinary talent of harmonica master Gregoire Maret. T.K. and Gregoire performed together with vocalist Jimmy Scott. Gregoire would be a special guest with the T.K. Blue Quartet featuring Warren Wolf.
